I attempted to attend a luncheon. that was held here after a funeral this past weekend. When we got there the table were pretty much full and I asked a waiter if there were two seats together or if two more places could be set up at a empty nearby table. He showed us that there was one seat at a table of guests we didn't know and another single seat at another table, a good distance apart. I indicated to him that my sister and I would like to sit together since she didn't really know anyone except me and the very immediate family. His reply was "Oh well", as he shrugged his shoulder and walked away. Instead of continuing to stand around in our coats or cause work for anyone, we decided to say good bye to my friend and her family (who had just lost her mother) and left. - Dianne, 03/17/2008
