Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, conducted by Grammy winning artist and Chicago resident Arnie Roth, will perform the classic score of The Wizard of Oz at The Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road on Saturday, October 28 at 7 pm. The complete Academy Award-winning MGM musical starring Judy Garland will be shown on a big screen while the full score is performed live by the 70-piece Chicagoland Pops Orchestra. The Wizard of Oz will come alive in concert just in time for Halloween. The lush and beautiful score, with legendary songs such as "Over the Rainbow" and "We're Off to See the Wizard," contains some of the most endearing popular music of all time. The evening will feature a costume parade and contest, judged by LeeAnn Trotter of NBC, for the most creative Oz attire. A grand prize of four tickets to Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Starring the Rockettes (weekend of November 11 and 12 or 18 and 19), as well as a backstage tour and overnight stay at a suite in the Hotel Sofitel will be awarded to one lucky winner.
