Visit one of America's first planned model industrial towns, built in 1880 by George Pullman. Employees of the Pullman Palace Car Co. rented these new, modern (for the period) houses. Pullman was the first working-class development to offer indoor plumbing, gas, sewage, and recreational facilities. Museum hours: M-F 11-2, Sat 10-2, Sun 12-3. - sys, 12/05/2001
