This great natural history museum contains hundreds of exhibits including dinosaurs, Egyptian mummys/tombs, China, Tibet, rare gems, oceanic collections, volcanos, and more. Hours are 9 AM to 5 PM. - sys, 12/26/1999

I just recently saw Ghost in the darkness and it is really amazing, My parents are going to take me to the museum to see the lions, I am really intrested in cats since the lion is in the cat family, I would love to go to the museum and see the 2 man eating lions - Amanda Nicolosi, 08/23/2003

I recently too have seen the many wonderful things that the Field Museum had to offer. I really enjoyed the animal displays

I to recently saw 'The Ghost in the Darkness' which is why I am searching web sites about the Field Museum. What I was most surprised about was that the male lions were maneless which is something I had never heard of before. From the looks of the picture they don't seem as fierce as told in the movie, however it still doesn't discredit the fact that they killed over 120 humans! - plk1956@prodigy.net, 02/22/2001

There is so much in the museum that it is very hard to pick one favorate. However, I have learned much from the Egyptian mummys and tombs exibit.
