This spot offers decadent, contemporary cuisine with a strong Japanese and French twist as well as a touch of Italian and Mediterranean influence. Start with the creamed shiitake, leek, and Brie tart; or chilled tea-flavored coconut-milk soup swimming with sauteed sea scallops. Entrees include grilled swordfish topped with chiles guajillos sauce and accompanied by wasabi mashed potatoes, and sauteed slices of duck breast in a sauce of green peppercorn. Yoshi is the best chef in the City, period- his food is amazing and I make a point of eating there whenever possible- I recommend sitting at the counter if it's not already reserved. His pâté is incredible, as is the tuna tartare and the pumpkin potstickers are to DIE for. If rabbit pot pie or cassoulét are on the menu, they're sure winners, and so

The best restaurant in Chicago. I visit the windy city several times a year on business and I never fail to stop at Yoshi's.
