Definitely a different dining experience - be prepared for a three hour tour of eclectic cuisine. Presentation is emphasized in addition to preparation. Final selection of entrees ($75 - $125) is up to the kitchen ... Often called one of Chicago's hottest restaurants which features walls adorned with original art and dishes served on such objects as extravagant Versace cups and little glass staircases. One evening's fare may include green tea-smoked salmon with white anchovy salad and poached stuffed pheasant on a carrot-thyme emulsion. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate, Tru features innovative French cuisine presented to tables set with one-of-a-kind pieces. Courses include caviar served on a unique glass-staircase plate, and a variety of amuse artfully presented. Three- to seven-course prix fixe menus are $90-$100; main dishes may include lobster, halibut, grouper, lamb, pork tenderloin, or ribeye.
