A charming dining room exudes an authentic Swedish air and paves the way for delicious food. Breakfast options include a choice of hearty egg dishes, pancakes, quiche specials, and excellent pastries. Lunch and dinner menu items include soups, roast pork with prunes, and fresh fish specials. Reasonable prices and good service round out your meal. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Mon-Sat; Sunday brunch. - Alotta, 09/14/2005
We finally had a chance and thought about it at the same time to get into Tre Kroner today for our Sunday brunch. What a wonderful restaurant we found. The greeting at the door was very pleasant, the server, Angelica, [I believe was her name] was so helpful and pleasant and the selections we both made were absolutely wonderful. We have been hearing about the restaurant for a long time from Carl Grapentine and others at WFMT and can whole-heartedly agree with their high recommendations. We will be regulars. Sincerely, Jan and Tom Kay - Tom and Jan Kay, 11/25/2007
In the 3 years that we've lived in Lincoln Square, Tre Kroner has been the only constant dining experience for us. That's saying a lot considering all the wonderful restaurants in the area. We've eaten breakfast there more than we have at home. The atmosphere, food and service are top notch. Seating is cozy, with scandinavian troll scenes painted on the walls. Outside seating in summer, weather permitting. The menu selection is just right - they don't try to cram in too much stuff - they stick to a core swedish menu, and add in specials, so selection is not stilted. My favorite foods are the special quiches, potato sausage, and danish. This latter item is delectable beyond description - flaky crusts, freshly baked, many flavors, hmmm - my mouth waters just thinking about them! Service has always been prompt (with 1 exception, but hey - 1 out of 100 isn't bad) and courteous, even on busy Sunday mornings. We never hesitate to bring family and friends here, and recommend it to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience. Prices are very reasonable (no over-priced pretentious meals here), and dinner is BYOB. - al r, 06/03/2005
This is a family favorite. Truly a place to bring visitors. The salmon, cooked any way is alway delish... The service is young, energetic, and friendly. Don't pass on dessert, especially the lemon tart! - fran t, 04/14/2004
Another GREAT meal at this cozy Swedish restaurant. As a soup freak I loved today's potato leek soup. A special appetizer was a baked mushrooms with sourcream topped. Although I loved their meatballs, the RED CABBAGE WITH CAPERS IS SOMETHING ELSE, WOW! Roast duck with apple/pork sausage prepared ever so perfect. Dessert, what's your desire: Mousse, lemon tart, I had bread pudding, Never mind these comments, just come to Tre Kroner for a wonderfull meal, NO regrets! - lmgideon, 09/14/2005
