I noticed the last review for Taxco was in 2004 and let me just say that it is still a fantastic restaurant! The service is great and the food is some of the best you'll find in Chicago. I recommend the combination platters for an all around taste of several different dishes, the margaritas can't be beat and I second the motion about the incredibly delicious salsa. Also, for you parents, Taxco is very family friendly and the waitstaff makes you feel right at home. - Julie, 01/14/2007

A family favorite; never been disappointed. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, queso fundido con chorizo, carne asada, sopa pescado, and of course the margaritas. The salsa is hot, but just right! Try it, you'll be impressed. - Joel P., 04/29/2003
