American / Asian influenced cuisine at this new Wicker Park hot spot. Shawn McClain, formerly Trio, Evanston, dishes up tasty treats in this old bathhouse that has been re-designed by Francoise Geneve. Sunken bar is the old swimming pool, a very unique layout. This Wicker Park eatery housed in a former Russian bath house; entrees ($20-30) may include include monkfish, striped sea bass, seared scallops with oxtail, grouper, flounder, and rib eye. Full service bar features a nice wine list; premium mixers are mixed with care (try the Sidecar straight up). Desserts include baklava, light waffles, and the Chocolate Mound. This place is all class, but its at a price. The service there is impeccable, and the food is great, especially if you love Seafood. They have interesting ideas for food preparation, usually asian influenced, and the wine list is great. The only downside is that it is expensive, but if you go in expecting that , it makes it easier.
