Tin ceilings, exposed brick, and hardwood floors pave the way for delicious Italian fare in this friendly neighborhood spot. Menu items include tuna carpaccio topped with juniper berries and whole red peppercorns, and specials such as tagliolini mare e moti which is shrimp and scallops tossed with wide noodles in a light red sauce. Prominently displayed on the menu's first page are rave reviews for Sapori. We arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday, and waited about 10 min for a table to open up. Once we were seated, it was about 30 min before a waiter asked if we were being served. After that rough start, the meal turned out to be excellent. Not the best Italian in the city, but very good. Pumpkin pasta/ravioli and veggie Rigatoni appear to be the highly recommended dishes; we sampled the Meat Lasagna ($18) .. a 10"



square chunk. The Sapori Wine list is superb and even has pictures of the wine labels. Beer in bottle includes Newcastle, Guinness, and La Rossa. Dinner for two will run about $50 plus drinks. - ace999, 03/28/2008

The best Italian in the city. They have a fantastic wine list and the food is amazing. The lobster ravioli is to die for. They change specials regularly, so there is always something new to try.
