Yep. Best thai food anywhere, in fact, some of the best food-in-general anywhere. Yep, you will wait anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours for your food. Yep, the place is a dive: I think it was a hot dog stand in a previous incarnation. But the fact is, you won't get food like this anywhere else. I have been to a number of thai places in my time, and I haven't had food that tastes like this place. I can only assume these are family recipies or somesuch. Hint: Get there about 9:45pm. The owners WILL get there, but sometimes they don't show until well after 10pm. Order thai coffee or thai tea with your meal: it comes in one of those huge soup containers, and Decha (the owner) will keep refilling it for you. When you get up to leave, and you hand him your leftovers (and you WILL have leftovers), give him your tea/coffee container and he will refill it for you. Good for breakfast the next day. Another hint: order off the thai menu. The chinese menu is good (particularly the egg fu young), but the thai menu is the best. If you get there early, you should try and order a noodle dish: their pad thai is incredible. Also be sure to order a soup: their chicken coconut soup is out of this world. - Lainie P., 04/06/2002
This is the best Thai food that I've ever had and it's so darn cheap. Be warned: Expect a wait of literally 2 hours or more on the weekends and maybe an hour on weeknights (open after 10PM only). Worth every minute. - anonymous, 09/20/2001
