Although it only opened a couple months ago, People Lounge is my favorite new tapas restaurant & lounge. It is a very original concept where they marry the traditional Spanish tapas restaurant with an international music lounge. Tapas -by definition and by tradition- are bar food in Spain. Although there are a handful of Tapas restaurants in Chicago, People really stands out with its rustic, old-world bar atmosphere where you can hear a flamenco guitar player on Monday nights, or a jazz band play on Thursdays. The best part is the food itself, of course: The spicy potatoes are delicious, the shrimp dish is heavenly, it comes on a bed of homemade couscous with almonds and raisins... The skirtsteak comes with melted manchego cheese and cornichons with a sherry glaze and simply melts in your mouth...The flan is dressed



with a fresh berry sauce and is a must no matter how full you are... - Amy, 03/08/2006
