Detail for Orange (closed) : Restaurant, Seafood / Brunch
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Orange is not only the name of this spot. The restaurant's sign sits atop an orange crate, and scads of oranges behind the counter are squeezed to order. Coffee comes with an orange essence flavor. A contemporary brunch menu features the Jelly Donut Pancake, a Swedish pancake filled each week with a different jelly; French toast kebabs prepared with coconut milk and skewered with pineapple, strawberry, and bananas; and Green Eggs and Ham, scrambled eggs with basil pesto, buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, and pancetta. Lunch items include vegetable napoleon with layers of phyllo, wild mushrooms, grilled leeks, zucchini, artichokes, and spinach. Food is thoughtfully prepared and accessible to eaters of all tastes. The juice bar combined with BYO policy can make for yummy concoctions. Orange is open daily for breakfast and lunch. - Alotta, 10/04/2006
Tried to meet a friend there for Brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Went at 1:00. The place was jammed. All the tables were full and the lobby (6 feet by 3 feet space in front of the greeter stand) was jammed with people that game you
looks when you tried to put your name in. The place looked cute and smelled very yummy-orange fruity, but we decided 45 minutes was too long of a wait for us that day. Someone who got in line after me was told an hour. Can't imagine waiting that long for casual brunch. - cathleen, 01/26/2004
