Open for dinner only. Feast on mostly naturally raised ingredients, prepared by chef Michael Kornick to bring out delicate flavors. Contemporary American appetizers include a green asparagus salad tossed with Lucini olive oil, lemon, and marinated white anchovies; and a sauteed Alaskan king crab topped with chips of garlic and grilled scallions in a bell pepper coulis. Main dish choices include a seafood combo of poached whitefish and Maine lobster in a lemongrass-flavored broth; and a pork rack with fennel-potato gratin in a reduction of apricot-thyme. A delicious side of pommes frites will complement any meal. A standout dessert list includes peach napoleon with caramelized phyllo. - sys, 08/27/2002

A unique, spacious dining room features three open levels of seating, including a semiprivate chef's table on the second balcony. Seasonal American cuisine with a French flair may include with items such as hardwood-charcoal-grilled 16 oz. prime NY sirloin with baby spinach in a red wine syrup ($41), lobster and Lake Superior whitefish served with vegetables and lobster broth ($28). Be sure to order a side of house-specialty pommes frites, presented

in a 16-oz class with a side of truffle cream. Desserts include 'one banana, two banana' which is a mouth-watering assembly of banana coffee cake, banana brioche, bread pudding, and banana sherbet with a hot fudge and butterscotch topping; as well as other imaginative and fanciful delights that are well worth the calories. Open daily for dinner. - Alotta, 10/24/2005

this is my all-time favorite restaurant. i think mk are the owner/chef's initials. the food is to die for. first went for an event when i was a media planner/buyer. love the salad and salty light vinagarette, had a rare tuna steak the first time and creme brulee. this place made me like creme brulee. have been back for a lunch salad with sliced chicken and apples (YUM) and took a guy for his bday; i remember is sliced steak was awesome. the waitstaff is always ver nice and no pretentious. it looks like a fancy but laid back aspen ski lodge in there. to me, mk is the epitome of fanciness. - jms, 07/02/2011
