My most favorite food is Mexican, I absolutely love it! and nothing compares to Maria's on Foster, when you get tired of the commerical tease, and want the real thing... Go to Maria's!!!! everything is delicious, the black bean soup will make you travel for miles to get it. Go see for yourself, my mouth is watering just thinking of it! - Shelia, 01/09/2008

August 28, 2001 Hello! Last week, my husband and I spent our last vacation day in Chicago. He loves, I like, Mexican food, so we are always looking for Mexican restaurans. The clerks at our hotel in the airport vicinity, when asked, sent us to Maria's. We love it! We have eaten at many different Mexican restaurants in many states. This one, without a doubt, makes my favorite at home now my second favorite. The food was excellent, the best we ever had, the service excellent, the atmosphere 'just right' and also wonderful, and I just loved it. Never mind the value and reasonable price for what was offered, my favorite one here in our area, while the food is very good, does not offer the nice 'atmosphere', so a few more dollars which we spent at Maria's were well worth it. We don't get glassware and linen napkings and a lovely decor for nearly the same price here! I wanted to pack it up and bring it home with me. Mexican food is very popular here, but for the type of service and atmosphere Maria's offers, we would pay a lot more. If I am ever in Chicago again, I will return.
