This is one of those spots lovingly refered to as a greasy spoon. The small storefront two doors north of the corner of California (2800 W.) & Touhy (7200 N.) is open for breakfast at 5:30 till' the end of lunch at 3:00 P.M. You are treated with a decor of early rock-RiverView-elder Chicago Scenes, while being treated to pleasent 'Flo-like' jocularity (which is genuine - not 'Ed Debevic' like). Locals who eat here on a regular basis, are willing to interact adding to the full flavors otherewise missed in the franchise world. The Lemon Roasted Chicken is fine and often the special, and you are given a choice of which quarter you desire. soup of the day varies with what is on the rear burner. if you ar3e in the neighborhood and want to just eat, enjoy the taste you've grown to expect out of this unique Americana pick. - WindyRat, 03/12/2001
