Open Mon - Fri 7 am - 10 pm, Sat - Sun 8 am - 10 pm. Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village residents have enjoyed watching this place go from a place whose name they can't pronounce to a place they can't imagine doing without. A delicious cafe menu features panini sandwiches made on oil flat bread and grilled together with melted mozzarella; prices are in the $3.50 - $5.50 range. Focaccia sandwiches and salads also available. A pizza menu features square pies: a 12" x 16" size starts at $15.50 and the 16.5" x 32" starts at $29. A specialty pizza menu includes Pizza Daniele, which is topped with artichoke hearts, black olives, and spinach. Letizia's also lives up to its name as a bakery. Creative cookies, muffins, cakes, pies, and other goodies change daily. Specially ordered cakes and pies are made up fresh and are sure to please. Delivery and catering available. Opened by Letizia Sorano in 1998, this spot is much more than a bakery. During the day it is a favorite coffee house and hangout for locals, who come to enjoy delicious beverages, conversation, reading, and board games. Menu items include several panini varieties and pizza rustica. Lest one forgets it is a bakery, Letizia creates delicious sweets using no hydrogenated oils, bleached flour, or artificial colors or flavors. Baked goods include cheesecakes, biscotti, cookies that run the gamut, pies, and truffles. Outdoor seating is available in warmer months; there's patio seating in front and a newly added outside area in back. Wireless Internet access is offered, and Wednesday is Open Mic night.
