Delightful new River North Irish spot full of richly hued wood, stone walls, and comfortable leather. The large interior is ingeniously divided into sections, levels, walkways, and balconies that add spatial interest while preserving intimacy. The bar is all business, touting gorgeous cast steel taps for a dozen or so excellent lagers, ales and ciders. The impressive row is flanked by, what else, Guinness taps. The Guinness at the Kerryman, it should be noted, is extremely fresh and is remarkably tastier than the stuff with which most Chicagoan's might be acquainted. Several premium scotches and Irish whiskies, plus a commendable wine list flesh out the beverage offerings. Food can be described as upscale pub fare, with all the proven



standbys like Fish and Chips and Shepard s Pie, but a selection of pricier steak and seafood options distinguish Kerryman's from other unremarkable Pub menus.
