Enjoy cuisine a cut above the typical steakhouse. Start your meal with seafood dumplings swimming in lobster bisque. Favorite standards (average $29) include prime porterhouses, New York strips, and Delmonicos. Hefty sides such as potato croquettes with cheese fondue, and peas with bacon and pearl onions are available to accompany your feast. An excellent seafood choice is the braised red snapper with herbed artichokes, leeks, and olives. The poached pear with caramel sauce is a perfect end to this meal. Extensive wine list. Keefer's is a great restaurant! My brother and I were there a few days before Christmas, 2002 and we had a wonderful time. Mr. Glen Keefer came over to our table to say hello. What a gentleman he is. I will be in Chicago again this coming May. I already told my brother that we will be dining at Keefer's again when I arrive.
