Open for dinner only. This trendy restaurant doesn't sacrifice tradition. An on-the-ball waitstaff expertly translates the exotic cuisine into Westernese: haemul pajun is a seafood-topped scallion pancake; kim bap is maki with a twist. A good opener is mild mandoo soup loaded with dumplings. A main course favorite is the galbi, which is a dish of beef short ribs marinated in a mild sauce and then grilled. bulgogi is particularly good, as is the kim bap te gim. While you're at it, have yourself a few of their signature sojutinis. I recommend the poe doe.
