Open for dinner only. This trendy restaurant doesn't sacrifice tradition. An on-the-ball waitstaff expertly translates the exotic cuisine into Westernese: haemul pajun is a seafood-topped scallion pancake; kim bap is maki with a twist. A good opener is mild mandoo soup loaded with dumplings. A main course favorite is the galbi, which is a dish of beef short ribs marinated in a mild sauce and then grilled. For those with sturdier taste buds, try the squid sauteed with green chiles. Ginger ice cream makes a fine dessert. - sys, 08/22/2002
This popular Andersonville restaurant features consistently delicious, traditional, reasonably priced Middle Eastern favorites. Menu items include baba ghanoush, hummus, falafel, couscous dishes, and beef, lamb, or chicken kebabs served with rice and warm pita. Check out the $15 buffet on Sundays from 10 am-4 pm. Open for lunch Mon-Fri; dinner served daily; Sat-Sun brunch. - Alotta, 02/26/2004
Three cheers for Jin Ju! The service and atmosphere are impeccable - some of the best I've ever had at any restaurant. The food is wonderful: traditional and modern all at the same time. The dak
bulgogi is particularly good, as is the kim bap te gim. While you're at it, have yourself a few of their signature sojutinis. I recommend the poe doe. For those who prefer a martini, try the trevortini (creamy chocolate martini) or the black marshane (a delicious black martini made with lemon soju). - A huge fan!, 09/30/2002
