This cheerful, roomy family-owned restaurant sets the tone with piped-in opera music and a mural of the Italian seaside. Wood-fired thin crust pizzas are the house specialty. Other menu items include Italian favorites such as bruschetta, calamari, rotolo with ricotta, prosciutto and spinach, homemade gnocchi, veal sauteed in lemon-caper sauce, and more. I have been a regular at this restaurant for over 5 years. My Future husband and I had our first date there, and I have genuinely sang their praises to other foodies. This is why I feel so disappointed, violated, and abused. After a extensive meal last night, there was some confusion about a gift certificate. We asked to speak to a manager and I was escorted into his office. The 'gentleman' viciously accused me of being a 'cheap scammer.' I was stunned. I did not have the opportunity to explain the situation before being verbally attacked. I have worked in the industry for over 15 years and am sensetive to those



individuals that take advantage of particular offers. I was shocked that this 'host' did not inquire about the situation, but rather chose to immediately resort to the weak method of intimidation. I was so upset by this experience that I became ill. My only solace at this point is to warn others and encourage the neighborhood to avoid this once favorite spot until it finds new management.
