A classic decor of white tablecloths and hardwood floors paves the way for Chef-owner Erwin Dreschler's Midwestern spin on homey yet sophisticated seasonal dishes such as wood-grilled pork chop with a gratin of yukon gold potato and grainy mustard-vidalia onion sauce for $19. Other entrees include calf's liver, chicken, venison, duck, seafood, and fresh-water fish. I like this place! Very nice atmosphere and imaginative preparation of food. Also excellent choice of wines by the glass...Try a glass of Domaine de Pouy, a great white wine you rarely find by the glass in a restaurant.
