We sampled the burgers at Epic Burger on State on Monday.
At lunchtime, there was plenty of seating, little or no line at the counter.
After putting your order in, you get a number on a stand which you then take back to your table.
In less than 10 min .. the waitress stops by with your order.
The first thing you'll notice is the shape of the burger - rather irregular, roughly round with a few pointy edges sticking out.
We got the burger on a wheat bun with grilled onions, pickes, and Epic Sauce (similar to Secret Sauce).
The edges of the burger are a bit well done .. and tasty.
As you work your way to the center of the burger .. it is even more tasty.
Fries on the side are the 'rough cut with skin' variety .. done to perfection.
A burger with fries and drink runs about $10.
Also on the menu: chicken sandwich and BLT.
Epic Burger is open until 10pm .. 11pm on weekends. - wm, 07/12/2010
