We loved this place, the atmosphere was very inviting and down to earth.... the food was excellent though spicy.... we especially liked the blackened calarmari salad with this out of this world vinegrette...... we did'nt care for the soft shell crab appetizer.....the shell was to prominent and to fishy tasting.... but an overall nice experience - Toni&Derrick, 01/08/2001
I WAS AT CLUB CREOLE ON A HOT SUMMER EVENING AND SAT ON THEIR LOVELY PATIO, ATE SOME SPICY FOOD AND DRANK COLD $3 HURRICANES. THE PLACE HAS BEEN RENOVATED INTO A MORE COZY, WARM ATMOSPHERE. THE DINER LOOK IS GONE. VOODOO DOLLS HANG FROM THE CEILING. CHEF STEVE SMITH
HAS CREATED SOME WONDERFUL SPECIALITIES ON THE NEW DINNER MENU. ENTREES NOW COME WITH A CUP OF GUMBO OR A HOUSE SALAD. THE SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO CLUB CREOLE WITHIN THE PAST 3 MONTHS, YOU MUST GO. THIS IS THE BEST CAJUN RESTAURANT IN THE CITY. - PITA BRENSTEIN, 08/03/2000
Went there with folks from Wyoming. Excellent food, service, and ambiance. I had blackened t-bone others had jambalaya, blackened fish, and red beans and rice. Highly recommend soft shell crab appetizer. They also had the largest selection of hot sauces(bitch on the beach was #1) - rfergers, 04/17/2000
What a great place for dinner on Saturday night. My girlfriend went and had a blast, the food was awsome and the service was very good. I will take dates here more often.. - Billy Rollins, 03/17/2000
I love this restaurant! I was visiting Chicago a few years ago and I went there every night for dinner. I still wear my Club Creole shirt to school. Put some south in yo mouth! - kflint23@hotmail.com, 09/21/1999
What a great lunch spot! Arguably the best bowl of gumbo in the city -- and don't forget the side of dirty rice. With the steady stream of regulars, there can be quite a lunchtime wait, but it is well worth it. - Mike Morrow, 04/16/1999
