I have to say this was the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at and I have been to many. We had the cavatelli with sausage for the entree and stuffed mushrooms for the app. This dish was so good that I live 700 miles from Chicago but will make it a point to fly there before the end of the year. - Joseph P, 11/13/2006
This was an okay dining experience. Might as well go to Morton's or another pricy restaurant if your going to spend the money. The rigatoni w/ vodka sauce was not very good and the wait staff seemed confused. After our appetizer (the bruschetta was phenomenal) we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu? I went on a Saturday
and it was obnoxiously packed. We made a reservation and it took 45 minutes to get seated, and the wait at the bar was uncomfortable. I would rate this place a 3 out of 10 - Kev, 03/02/2008

I was visiting Chicago for a day and walking the city. I stood outside of Carmine's with a beer catching my breath. They had the most incredibly beautiful music I have heard piped outside to the sidewalk. I've been going to Carmine's for a number of years, I think the specials are to die for. One evening i enjoyed an appetizer
