Sad to say, the Candlelight Lodge has shuttered it's doors due to the passing of it's longtime owners. A very sad day indeed! - Ralph N, 11/02/2006

A family favorite of ours since I was a little girl and before, the Candlelight has a cozy redwood 'lodge' type atmosphere with overhead wagonwheels and beams festooned with garlands and colored lights that haven't changed since I was a kid. There is a bar adjacent, usually frequented my neighborhood regulars, and there's usually a tv on. Basically, you can picture anyone's Uncle Bob sitting there at the original bar, with its array of novelty decanters from decades past! Foodwise, my favorite is the steak and shrimp platter, but the main reason we keep coming back is their famous Green Noodles (rotelli)!! The best time to go is Christmastime!
