Cheery folk art and colorfully painted walls pave the way for traditional Latin fare with a twist, created according to the vision of proprietor Victoria Medina-Lollino. Flavorful appetizers include shrimp marinated in tequila, and a 3-empanada plate stuffed with garlic potatoes and cheese, sirloin steak and almonds, and sweet guava paste. Entrees include chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and poblanos, and tender skirt steak served with black beans, fresh salsa, and tortillas. Taqueria fare such as enchiladas and tacos is also available. Dessert options include key lime pie, flourless chocolate cake, and plantains served with ice cream. My husband and family love this place. Flavors are fantastic, location is small for large latin family like ours and have made the fullerton location our new spot. The arrachera is excellent! The ultimate kicker and favorite is the pipian de pollo, just like growing up in mexico when we were young. And yes my mother loves it too!!!! - Ana B., 04/19/2007

I wouldn't recommend this place for large parties.



Our table wasn't set up when we arrived. The food was good, but unfortunately it didn't come until 10:45 for and 8:15 reservation. We weren't really hungry at this point. Because we were so late they were ready to kick us out as soon as we finished. Some friends who were to meet us at the bar ended up meeting us at the restaurant. We ended up getting charged additional corkage fees for some people who weren't even drinking. By the way, our waiter was pretty much no where to be seen the whole night and never once touched a bottle of wine... We had to cork our own! I would recommend Tango Sur on Southport which is also BYOB and charges no corkage fee! Good luck. - KAS, 11/05/2006
