It all seems like a vapor trail of memories now... I helped found the Collaboraction Theatre Company by lending my many years of skilled appenticeship gained as a techie in the Braden Auditorium crew. I went to a meeting with this curly haired brunette that I wanted to get with. We were at the Urbis Orbis Cafe (now its gym!) in Wicker Park where she was auditioning for a part in one of the plays that was going up there. She mentioned this company was starting and invited me. I think that she knew that the forming company needed my expertise in theater arts. That night I became a seminal member of a theatre collective, of which Sean Graney is the only person that I know now who has, to my knowledge, any lasting success from those days. Sean came on



board whenever he had a project that was juried awesome and he wanted to throw us a bone. Sean is a major talent in Chicago. I count myself very lucky to have once worked alongside him.
