This place gets really crowded during peak hours- reservations are recommended if you need a table. The booths feature personal tappers - you can buy beer in bulk for $20 and server yourself .. we'll try this soon! - wm, 03/12/2010
This is probably one of the best sports bars in River North. Personally I've never had a bad time there. The music is always good and the crowd is constant. A lot of sports bars focus more on the drinks and atmosphere but Bull and Bear had a pretty decent food menu it's American classic drinking food done right and without trying too hard. It is also a great causal first date meet up. It's not stuffy or to rowdy if you don't want to feel uncomfortable meeting someone there for the first time. - prima, 04/07/2013
I've been looking forward to visiting Bull and Bear ever since they opened but was thouroughly dissapointed with my visit. We were there on a Thursday after work and spent several hours putting up with mediocre service until a manager rudely told us we needed
to leave our table because they had a reservation for out table. We had a large group of people sharing a 4 person table and found the request to give up our table to be completely unprofessional. Bull and Bear was a complete dissapointment. - mw, 04/03/2009
