Buddies' Bar is more a neighborhood bar than anything else. Walking into Buddies' is like walking into the gay version of Cheers! There's great looking bartenders who greet everyone with a smile, videos playing the latest dance hits, people laughing, playing darts and shooting pool. Though Buddies' is mostly filled with gay and lesbian patrons, they welcome anyone in the neighborhood to come in and have fun. Buddies' is always providing a great party atmosphere. You can find some of the best parties for the leather community, the bear community, sports teams of every kind, lesbian gatherings - you name it and Buddies' has it. Stop in and check it out yourself...you'll be glad you did! I love this place. I agree that walking through the front bar is bar appeals to a niche, but once in the dining room this place feels like any neighborhood restaurant. The service is extremely attentive and the portions are massive. I always feel like I get a great deal and look forward to the unusual specials on the menu.
