Detail for Bravo (closed) : Restaurant, Spanish / Tapas
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
This three-level tapas restaurant features waterfalls, patio seating, and a sleek DJ/lounge area. Tapas ($9) run the gamut from traditional to innovative; wash it down with tasty sangria. Bravo is open for lunch 11 am-3 pm Mon-Fri; dinner Mon-Fri 5 pm-2 am, Sat 5 pm-12 am; Sat-Sun brunch 10 am-3 pm. - Alotta, 06/22/2006
I completely agree with the all the negative reviews. This place is over priced...you pay for the décor not the food quality. The food is mediocre at best, and I give the staff thumbs down…way down. The staff seems snotty and it seems in the interest of the host to first make people wait at the bar before seating…even when clearly there are available tables. Every couple walking into the place was told that there’s a 25-40 minute wait…with three open tables outside. Tapas were between $9-12 each and for some reason I expected an explosion of taste in my mouth…I was definitely disappointed. The first dish came quickly, but it took 45 minutes for them to serve us our second. The Third dish took just
as long as the second and luckily our fourth COLD dish came quickly. We left completely unsatisfied...the only nice part of our experience was the fact that we were able to sit outside on a beautiful night which we could have done anywhere else. After my negative experience I felt compelled to share this experience and to let others know that this place is not worthy of our business. - mike, 03/27/2007
I had dinner at Bravo tues evening (1/16/07) and the food was really good. The wait staff was very friendly, accomodating, and helpful. The decor is cute. Very trendy. My friends and I are definitely going back. - Happy customer, 01/17/2007
It's a trendy place, with overpriced food and drinks, and snotty people. Seems like it should be in Lincoln Park, not Wicker Park. - Annie, 08/25/2006
Bravo's food is mediocre, and the staff is really rude. You'd think spending that much money they'd be nicer! The place looks cool, but when you go, it isn't... - Susan, 08/25/2006
Great place! Good music and it gets PACKED on the weekends, live salsa and Dj's. tapas are small dishes that are to be shared amoung everyone at the table. This is fine dining, not for the cheap people. - Jill, 08/09/2006
GEEhttp://www.planet99.com/index.htmlZ!! A couple of drinks, a couple of appetizers and $80.00 later, I'm not drunk or full. - Pizzbine, 07/25/2006
My friends and I had SO MUCH FUN at Bravo. The martinis were large and not expensive and were served in barware other than a martini glass, which I like. The open-air environment was so nice and the lounge downstairs was lively and fun. The whole atmosphere was alive and refreshing...a nice change from the closed-in feel of the average Chicago club. - Janet, 07/20/2006
Way overpriced - especially the drinks - $10 for an obsurdly tiny margarita and drink prices are not posted or on the menu or wine list. - neighbor, 06/28/2006
overpriced - anonymous, 06/19/2006
