Great burgers, dark atmosphere. Lots of character. - sys, 06/26/2001

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating here last Friday evening. The service was fast and friendly, starting with the elderly host who kept track of parties to be seated IN HIS HEAD without missing a beat! After commenting to him on his remarkable talent, age aside, he gave us a free drink. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient in the old-school, write-the-order-on-the-pad sense. My olive burger was huge and delicious, and my husband's sliced pork sandwich was tender and loaded with meat. We both had enough leftovers for another meal. To top it off, the bill with tip was under $20-even with the cost of the free drinks added in it still would have been a great deal.
