This west side location serves up plenty of fine pastas. - sys, 12/26/1999
had a wonderful time great food and great service. had a party of 10 everyone really enjoyed it. the owner walk up to our table and asked how our dinner was. i have been to many resturant and never had the owner ask me how everything was. this is a four star resturant - debbie lomis, 08/27/2002
We had dinner for my sister's birthday on Sunday March 18. We had reservations and were promptly seated but they sat us at a table for six when we had six adults and one child. There was no room for a highchair. They told us they were bringing a highchair but then never did. We had to hold our two year old for 2 1/2 hours which was very uncomfortable. Our dinner took an hour to come to the table from the time we ordered it. That is ridiculous considering we ordered mainly pasta dishes and chicken parm. I ordered penne arrabiata (I think I'm spelling it correctly?) which is suppose to be somewhat
hot & the sauce tasted like watered tomato paste. I have eaten at Basta Pasta a few years ago & I had a good impression of it but this most recent visit changed my mind. Your restaurant is also too small to have a smoking section. There is absolutely no place that non-smokers can get away from the smoke. - Veronica Katranis, 03/22/2001
