Newer sushi spot .. recommended by the bartender at Maude's as "the best"! - wm, 03/26/2011
We stopped by Friday around 8pm .. with no reservation, and we seated in the front room by the bar. Music was a bit loud, and our chairs were an obstacle for the servers passing by. The waitress was very knowledgable .. but a bit too eager for our mood at the time. Service seemed erratic at times.
The saki selection is great - expect to pay $10 for a glass and $30 for a small bottle. Recommended: Tamajiman/Dewanoyuki/Dassai Goju.
The sushi/sashimi/nigiri are fantastic: unagi (eel), sake (salmon), maguro (tuna) are prepared with a variety of innovative ingredients. Recommended: SAS Kampachi, Toro Tartar, Soft shell spicy ebi.
Rolls run about $15; expect to spend about $80 for dinner. - wm, 04/23/2011
