Held at 1350 W. Randolph Street in Chicagos uber-chic West Loop, the European-style indoor/outdoor Randolph Street Market Festival is home to the world-renowned Chicago Antique Market and Indie Designer Market. The Market features more than 200 vendors selling a wide array of merchandise, plus onsite dining, wine bar, interactive demonstrations and live music from some of Chicagos hottest bands and musicians. - wm, 05/08/2008
New this year are mini markets within the Market including the Vinyl Swap Meet, featuring collectable, rare and original vinyl recordings for audiophiles and nostalgic music lovers; the Global Goods Bazaar, featuring a select group of artisans representing Chicagos ethnic heritage; and the Fancy Food Market, starring undiscovered culinary artisans making such goodies as truffles, gourmet popcorn, mini cupcakes, olive oils, spices and other treats. - wm, 05/08/2008
Free trolley transportation to and from the Randolph Street Market Festival is provided as a courtesy to shoppers. Trolleys depart Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave., at the top of each hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and depart the Market for Water Tower at regular 30 minutes intervals from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and at 4:15 p.m. Free and ample parking is available and the event is just .2 miles from Ashland and Lake Streets Green and Pink Line El stops. - wm, 05/08/2008
