Gejas Cafe, 340 West Armitage, will host a fabulous fondue dinner paired with the fine wines of Kenwood Vineyards of Sonoma, California on Monday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m. A representative of the vineyards will be present to provide commentary about the wineries and wines and to answer questions. This event is part of Gejas Cafes ongoing popular Winemaker Dinner series.
Kenwood has been hailed as one of the champions of French varietals produced in the U.S. It is also known as the 'no-frills' winery, meaning that Kenwood puts its money into its wines rather than into costly winery buildings and tourist attractions. Gejas will pair a number of specialty Kenwood wines from a variety of tiers with their award-winning fondues. - wm, 05/16/2007
$50.00 per person and includes tastings of four wines, Gejas Creamy Cheese Fondue, Luscious Beef Tenderloin, Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and Chicken Breast Fondue, and Flaming Chocolate Fondue (tax and gratuity are also included). The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 pm followed by dinner at 7:00 pm. Reservations are required for the dinners, and Gejas encourages patrons to call early, as the dinners sell out quickly.
