The St. Helen Festival will bring carnival rides, music and dance performances, a beer garden, food concessions, Bingo, and more to the 2300 block of West Augusta Boulevard. The festival's musical line-up includes Latin music by the Sammie Torres Band (Friday night), classic American rock music by Dash Red (Saturday night), Polish music by Zawisza Band (Sunday afternoon), gospel music by the Mount Hebron Baptist Church Choir (Sunday afternoon), and RandB music by J Style's Band (Sunday evening) among other acts to be announced. The Clemente High School Steel Band, a percussion workshop, a flamenco performance, karaoke contests, and dance performances by neighborhood youth are also scheduled. Festival hours are September 21 and 22 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and September 23 and 24 from noon to 10 p.m. Festival-goers can purchase individual carnival ride tickets or a $15 day pass that offers unlimited rides on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. A $45 'mega pass' will entitle the holder to unlimited rides for the duration of the festival. Scheduled for September 21-24, 2006 the St. Helen Festival will feature carnival rides, musical performances, ethnic food, and other attractions. Carnival rides are provided by All Around Amusements and stretch for 2 blocks. Musical performances range from Cover Bands, to Karoke, to Gospel to Polish Polka. Food for every taste is available including Italian, Polish, Puerto Rican, and American. And of course, beer will be served in the Beer Garden!
