I FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE U.S BEER COMPANY. I GO THERE EVERY TUESDAY. AND I HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME. I HAVE PERFORMED THERE AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I LOVE THE PLACE. IT'S LIKE WE ARE ALL FAMILY THERE. EVERYONE GETS ALONG WELL,THE MUSIC IS GREAT,AND THE HOSTS ARE WONDERFUL. ESPECIALLY NON-FICTION. I JUST LOVE HIM. MIGHT I ADD HE'S VERY SEXY. BUT I DIGRESS, I DONT SEE WHY PPL COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS PLACE. FOR ONE YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE STILL SCHEDULED AT THE SAME TIME B4 YOU SHOW UP. THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE PPL. COME ON NOW USE YOUR BRAINS THAT GOD GAVE YOU. SO I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. AND I WISH YOU JACK ASSES WOULD STOP HAVING THEM TOO. IT'S JUST NONSENSE. HAVE A GREAT NIGHT ALL LOVE,CHI TOWN'S FINEST - CHI TOWN'S FINEST, 09/27/2007
Just played a gig here not too long ago, I will be blunt but professional: 1. This place is very dirty 2. When
we played (and supposedly all the time)there was NO soundboard person. You have to do it yourself on this out of date, taped up device called a 'soundboard'. 3. The chance of them paying you is slim. They'll probably offer you a shared tab with your band that will last about 2 minutes. 4. The beer was flat, warm, and came in this dixie cup lookin' 7oz. 5. The lights on the very small stage were cool, but they were like heating lamps and my band was sweating just from sound-checking. 6. The male workers there, not including the lightsguy, were all pretty useless. Pluses: 1. The bartenders were very friendly. 2. The stage lights/fx were cool Don't come here unless you have a huge nearby following with plenty of patience. - Nathan, 04/29/2007
DO NOT BOOK SHOWS AT U.S BEER COMPANY! Tonight we had a show booked with three other bands. We were to go on at 11:30, show was supposed to start at 9. When we got there, they told us they never said nine, and we were now scheduled
for 1 a.m. While the third of what we thought were four bands was playing, I noticed a drum kit set up next to the stage. When our manager checked with the owner, I found out they had booked ANOTHER band and not told us-so we were now the 5th of 5 bands and would not start until 2 at the earliest-the club closes at 3. We demanded the money back for all our people who came to see us, they said 'no.' They said we could play next (which we never asked for), and cut off the band that was playing at that moment, four songs into their set. We weren't going to screw over another band because these guys are morons, so we refused to play. A screaming match ensued, and needless to say we will NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN! If your band is smart, you won't either. They will screw you over. - Martin, 12/04/2005
If you're in a band and are interested in playing the U.S. Beer Company in Chicago...don't. It's not worth the hassle. Tonight they put five bands on a bill and didn't have the first band start until 10 PM. That means band number 5 wasn't scheduled to go on until 2 AM. The problem is that the bar cuts off the music at 2 AM, so fans of band number 5 paid $8/person (EIGHT DOLLARS!) not to hear their band play. Worse yet, the bar cut off band number 3 after only four songs, and tried to move band number 5 into slot number 4 without telling band number 4. Confused? You wouldn't be if you were playing there. If you were playing there you'd just be mad and worse yet, your fans would be alienated. Bands should stay far, far away from this joint. - Chris, 12/04/2005
