July 9 2003 I had the pleasure of seeing 'placebo' at the Metro. I really enjoyed the band and in part because of the intimacy of The Metro. Not too big, not too small. It is the best place to really 'see' any band.The staff was courteous and the crowd was very fun although not unruly. Ever since Nocturna moved upstairs



to the metro, it's the best place to go on a tuesday. The music is some of the best new dark underground around, spanning the eurogothrock, german gruftie, elektro, & ethereal generes. The sound, lights and atmosphere are reminscent of ealrier goth clubs in Chicago. It is unique in that it is the only 18+ goth/industrial night in the city.
