This small, friendly neighborhood bar is popular with locals and students alike. For those who eschew trendy bars, this is an ideal spot for a cold beer and good conversation and a pinball game. The bike in the photo is gone (2009?), and now this place has been transformed into a metal music paradise. You'll hear bands like Entombed, In Flames, and Monolord .. great stuff. A neon sign on the back wall reads "Black Sabbath Matters"!
The beer selection is extensive, you'll find a lot of hard to find items like Zombie Dust. Try the Local Option brews - interesting and tasty ales/sours.
The menu features Jambalaya, Crab Cakes, and several Cajun options .. the food is suprisingly good. Note that the kitchen is closed on Mondays. - wm, 02/20/2017
