Lava is open Monday-Friday, 5pm-2am and Sat 7pm-3am; and we got rid of the pool table so there is more room to dance! We have awsome djs every night of the week - Sunday DJ Madrid spins eclectic vibes; Monday is Rock n' Roll hosted by Craig; Tuesday is One Love Roots and Dancehall withStallion Luv and General Kahn (voted by New City as "Best Reggae Night"); Wednesday Craig and Gary spin a mixture of classic, indie and nostalgic Rock; Thursday is our infamous hip-hop night hosted by Shon Dervis, PNS and Precise; Friday get down to the funky sounds of Catch-22 and Shawn P; and Saturday dance to Nick and Brian's scintillating house sounds. Fo shizzle...lava lounge is the illest spot for the chillist hip hop on Thursdays, mad props to the DJ for those smooth and classic hip hop TRANSITIONS...and I always run into some old school crowd from back in the day...not to mention the drinks are nicely priced.
