The Loft/Finn McCool's just lost a loyal customer. I've been going to that place a couple times a month for the last year, i even was there for new years. The bouncers have seen my face time after time. The problem arose on the night of the super bowl. I arrived with a buddy from work to watch the rest of the game and the guy
at the door says i cant let you in. Ive never seen the guy working in there before, he treated me like some bum telling me my state ID wasn't good enough and he need additional ID. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after that. - Chris Y, 02/21/2007
The loft upstairs is now open! - wm, 04/21/2007
Skip Finn McCool's if you're looking for a bar in Chicago. The service is terrible. Waitresses and bartenders will walk right past you, that's if they come at all. The free wing buffet on Friday comes with a price. Your dignity. Some African-American customers are warned by the large bouncers that they must buy alcohol or pay for wings, even though I've never seen anyone there eat w/out at least buying a beer. When I asked the bouncer why he approached the couple at the next table so rudely, he responded "I'm just doing my job." - S. Becker, 09/07/2007
Yes, it's a great place for food & booze, as long as you're willing to be completely IGNORED for 15 minutes or.more. Even if there are less than 9 other tables
on the floor. If you ca.ll to complain about that, they'll hang up the phone. Let's hope they figure out what's important: clientele or staff. Key hint, tell the door men you need a server within a half hour! Otherwise, find another hang out.... - redster@3ppd, 07/08/2007
