Of course Cubby Bear is a Wrigleyville mainstay that will never go away, not that it should. My first post-college apartment (1996) was in the neighborhood and my roommate and I frequented this gutted-out bruhaha type of packed bar post-game. Recently I went back twice, once to see a friend's band and once as part of www.crawlchicago.com 's Mardi Gras '11 pub crawl circuit. It's been remodeled to a more mature, swanky decor with an additional bar on the



South wall. It's a pretty good update to bring it into the '10s and carry it on. - jms, 06/15/2011
