Detail for Congress Theater : Concerts
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
I saw Dave Chapelle and Greer Barnes play the Congress Theater last night, and I want to laud not only the great comedians who I witnessed perform, but also one of the most outstanding venues in the city of Chicago. I was sitting on the left side, Row Q, nearly 26 rows back, and they were spectacular seats. The theater is considerably more spacious than it appears from its exterior. Upon entering the venue proper after a brief wait in a hallway foyer, a beautiful cavernous room greets the crowd. Twin staircases ascend to the balcony area, and other entrances lead to the sprawling floor seating, comprised of comfortable leather-bound seats and conveniently placed aisles. More side exits would benefit the theater, but quality and comfort are the norm at the Congress. - nathanjstange@hotmail.com, 04/04/2003
