Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Inside is the best food ever. Try the BBQ ribs or the blackened pork chops. Waitstaff is very professional. Avoid the bartender if possible. - Ann M, 07/01/2005
The Burgundy Inn has one of the most consistently good menus anywhere. I've been eating here for 30 years and never had a bad meal! Even though this looks like a bar, the food is top notch, ranging from BBQ ribs, to roast duck, to crab legs, steaks, veal and more. Prices are good too. My favorite meal consists of a Petite Shrimp de Johgne appetizer, followed by Roast Duck (smoked for 5 hours with a homemade plum sauce and stuffing), with a White Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert. This place has been around since 1938 with 2 owners at 3 locations. It's a hidden treasure of Chicago. Try it! You won't be sorry. - Lael C, 07/01/2005
