Bar3 is an upscale lounge dedicated to providing a haven for those who are seeking a destination with ambiance and style. Lush booths and couches, soft lighting and a rich decor provide the backdrop for the more sophisticated reveler. - sys, 11/28/2001

Bar3 has recently re-opened with a new decor and we are hosting a variety of new events in addition to our regular Fri/Sat night djs. Sundays:'first Sundays' art exhibit. Every first Sunday of the month we host art from new and exiting young Chicago artists. Tuesdays: live jazz night with the Matt Gerherty quartet. Wednesdays: live funk/soul with Nicholas Barron and sticky alternating. Thurdsays: 'sounds good' guest dj's spin acid jazz grooves. - sys, 11/28/2001

Despite a nice layout and great location, this place was a serious let-down. From what I had read about it, I was expecting a very hip crowd and even hipper music. It seems to suffer from a club/lounge identity crisis; a



potentially good atmosphere is wasted by an excessively loud DJ playing spoon-fed music. You could create the same experience by turning on the radio and sitting on your couch in your apartment. As a Lincoln Park resident, I could point you in the direction of several places worthy of your PM-hours; simply stand in front of Bar Three and walk in any other direction. - Gil S., 03/07/2004
