The Summer Shack has a great atmosphere, and the food was excellent, but the service was horrible! Not only did I have to wave my hands in the air like a banshee to get a second glass of wine, but I was seriously angered when I observed the barservers filling up their own glasses with alcohol and drinking it while I waited!!! I think next time I will try the Cambridge Summer Shack instead. - Robert B., 05/10/2005
I visited Boston in July and stumbled upon Summer Shack after attending a John Kerry rally across the street. Good appetizers, great cold local beer (my favorite: Newcastle). Service was a bit slow on the refills. But all in all, it was a primo Happy Hour. Will return for fresh lobster dinner someday. - rkbirk@seanet.com, 10/10/2004
