My friend and I enjoyed a sumptuous meal at Lala Rokh that suprised and delighted us. The flavors of each of our dishes were unlike anything we have had before -- spice combinations of cumin, saffron, pomegrante syrup, walnuts, and garlic wowed us. We also were very happy with the wine selection and service. The dishes were exotic and moderately priced. The service was informative and pleasantly attentive. I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. - Annette, 07/19/2005
i arrived at lala rokh for a good friends birthday party expecting to be greeted by a gracious host, instead my party of 10 people was continuously treated with hostility and outright rudeness by the less than gracious manager of the restaurant. we were rushed through our entire dinner, ordered coffee at the end and the manager had the nerve to ask us to leave (not politely at all) 30 minutes before the next party was due to arrive. i have never in my life spent hundreds of dollars at a restaurant only to be treated so rudely for o.k. food and horrible service. needless to say i will never be back. this horrible woman who supposedly manages this restaurant could have handled the situation in a hundred differen ways, instead she chose to be extremely nasty and totally unprofessional. i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. - klg, 10/03/2004
Lala Rokh lived up to all expectations and even surpassed it. The service was unbelievable. I met the owner, who was extremely nice, and he took great care of us - along with our great waitress. I will be back on my next trip to Boston. - Karen Jones, 09/17/2003
I disagree with the comment about horrible service. I've been twice and aside from the nearly perfect meals, the service was impeccable. They are very reserved but attentive. Definitely try the rose water custard, it's like eating beauty. - Melissa, 02/27/2003
Horrible service. The owner is extremely rude. - Dave, 11/18/2002
