I love Ida's. My boyfriend and I are so happy it's opened again! It's simple and pleasant and it feels like you're at your grandmothers's. The rest of the North End is wonderful, but we have a soft spot for the little place. - Michele Brennion 3/13/02, 03/13/2002
Ida's used to be one of my favorite spots in the North End. The last time we went there (May 2001) things did not seem as they were. Their menu included most of my old favorites. Wines had been added to the menu, including an old favorite, Fazi Battaglia Verdichio, which we ordered. To my surprise, they brought out a cheap (NOT FAZI) Verdichio without apology or explaination. I called them on it and they gave me an excuse that they didn't notice. I wrote them a letter about a week later, and got no response. IDA'S IS NOT WHAT IT ONCE WAS! - william spinali, 11/29/2001
