9/20/2007 Don't waste your time. I wasted mine on a Thursday afternoon in one certain year of my life. It had been a stressfull day at the office. I thought a stroll outdoors would help lift my spirits. The weather was nice. I took a walk down High St., and stopped in at "Rebelution". First off, they had no good beer on tap. Then, glancing at the wine list, I quickly realized that they had crap for wine - only stuff I might use for cooking - and at $8.00 a glass! A look over the bar bottles told yet another sad story. No good scotch. I suppose the assumtion here is that people who like Rock music are completely lacking in any taste for beer, wine or hard liquor. This was confirmed by the barman, who was friendly enough, by the way, when he described how the place was packed every night with the after-work crowd as well as on weekends. Will wonders never cease? This place is a Rock Posers Bar! The decorations were very nice, and several, cheesey "custom" guitars on the wall. But it takes more than that to be a "Rock Bar" in my book. In fact, the very idea of a "Rock Bar" is completely pretentious from the getgo, and couldn't be further from the essence of actual Rock & Roll - especially in the Financial District. I went there for a private aprty on new years eve and the downstairs of the bar was completely ill equipped with only 2 bartenders for over 100 people at this open bar party. The coat check that we paid 3 bucks for was lining our coats up along the wall on the floor in the kitchen! So gross. I won't ever go back and I should send them my dry cleaning bill after I saw them retrieve my coat from the floor. - anon, 03/14/2007
